Brush and Bramble

Gasp! I’ve actually made original characters that are going to be used for something more than a doodle and an idle back story in my brain. Not that I’m telling what they’re for, yet.

Introducing: Brush (viewer left) and Bramble (viewer right), and their not-any-species-specific-because-I-referenced-four-different-kinds-and-maybe-even-a-boa-constrictor-too python. They aren’t satyrs/fauns; if anything, they’re more along the lines of ‘sons of Cernunnos.’ So... yeah.. they're deer-man-things.

I originally intended a plain white background, but copics+isopropyl alcohol made more bleed along the borders than I anticipated, so I decided to gold-leaf… everything. The gold leaf actually scanned better than usual, though.

Materials: Copic Multiliners and markers, C3H8O, Sakura sepia brush pen, white gel pen, gold leaf; levels adjusted in Photoshop CS5.
