Benedict Cumberbatch as the Angel Islington from Neverwhere. Because sometimes you have to do kinda-sorta-realism. For great science. And then leave off the hands because you're incredibly lazy.

It's been a long time since I've read Neverwhere, and I don't have a book handy for character descriptions, so this is just how I imagined him while I was listening to the new radio series. It's not at all faithful, I know. I don't know what's up with the wings. @_@ I ran out of patience. But he's sparkly. Yes.

I also love Ben's face because he can make two distinct expressions at the same time. No, really, look at the two halves of this painting separately. The viewer left is sinister, whereas the viewer right is more angelic. ...Yes, this is how I amuse myself.
